Alle Farbbilder können auch als Schwarzweiß-Abzug bestellt werden. Die Schwarzweiß-Vorschau auf dieser Seite wird dadurch erzeugt, dass das Bild einfach mittels Javascript desaturiert wird. Das Ergebnis ist eine recht neutrale Schwarzweiß-Vorschau, welche je nach Bild flach, bzw. zu hell/dunkel ausfallen kann. Vor der Herstellung des eigentlichen Abzugs wird ein Bild jedoch immer sorgfältig analysiert und der Kontrast und Dynamikumfang individuell angepasst, damit ein ansprechendes und vom Kontrastumfang her gelungenes Schwarzweiß-Foto entsteht.

Procession of el Señor de los Temblores (Lord of the earthquakes) in Cusco
During the Semana Santa (holy week) this is one of the most important events in Cusco. According to legend, the effigy of a Jesus on a cross was able to stop an earthquake in 1650 which threatened to destroy the city. Legend also has it that this wooden effigy was originally white but miraculously changed its colour suddenly to black. A more plausible explanation claims that centuries of exposure to smoke from burning candles inside the church caused the black appearence.
