black & white previews
All colour images are also available as black & white prints. The b&w previews offered here are produced by simply desaturating the image via Javascript. The result is a neutral b&w preview which may appear flat or too dark/bright. Before printing, however, each image is individually assessed and adjusted for best contrast, tonal quality, and dynamic range.

Pained flass windows inside Vienna´s Votivkirche
The church plans were established in an architectural competition in April 1854 after an unsuccessful knife attack on Emperor Franz Joseph by Hungarian nationalist on February 18, 1853. The church was constructed by Franz Joseph's brother Ferdinand Maximilian Joseph, the later emperor of Mexico, on the site of the failed knife attack as a Votivgabe (a thank-you present to God) for the rescue of Franz Joseph.
